Minear joins Whedon, Dushku for DOLLHOUSE

Posted on November 1, 2007 | Comments (16)

As announced on EOnline and TV Guide, Tim will work with Joss Whedon again, this time on DOLLHOUSE. The show, which has already received a seven-episode commitment from FOX, will star Eliza Dushku (Faith, BUFFY, ANGEL). What will he be doing? What does this mean for MIRACLE MAN? Find out!

TM.net: How will you be involved with DOLLHOUSE? What role will you serve?

TM: I serve at the pleasure of The President. Wait. Am I Colin Powell? Right. Since it's Joss, I'll be involved as much as I can. I know that's not much of an answer. Ask harder questions. Or easier ones.

TM.net: What does this mean -- if anything -- for MIRACLE MAN?

TM: It doesn't. I'm developing my pilot for ABC and hope it's all picked up and ordered and a smashing success. Since Joss is making DOLLHOUSE with 20th [Century Fox] and I have a deal with 20th, it's all the family.

I'll play it as it comes -- that's how I roll.

TM.net: When (barring a strike) will production start?

Strike. Sigh. I keep telling everyone I want to picket with a blank sign. Hundred of writers with blank signs -- says a thing, doesn't it?

So you think Joss Whedon is president? Ah, if only that were true....
Seriously, if the writers do call for a strike tonight, seeing them with blank signs would be a sight to see. Actually, it would remind me of "Hush", which also said a lot without any words. It's going to be a real shame that the upcoming TV season will be "American Idol" seven days a week unless something can be done. If it's he prospect of paying an extra quarter for DVD's to cover what they writers want, then that's fine. I'd like to see "Pushing Daisies", and a complete season of 24, please.

I'm sure I speak for ALL Joss/Tim fans when I say......KICKASS!

I'd give up my pilot to work for Tim and Joss. For serious.

Whedon's pitching this show to FOX.

...You havent learned a darn thing have you?

Sounds vaguely interesting, maybe.

BUT I'm afraid (with all due respect) I really DON'T Care!

I WANT MORE FIREFLY!!!

More series, more Serenity Movies, Move flrefly/serenity books/novels/comics, GIVE ME MORE FireFly!

Why is it that Fox thinks that Joss's writing is good enough to work with on a different project without so many people that had talent that they all have jobs somewhere else now, yet he'll give him a contract and bring back the writers from Serenity... Seriously... Fox is the anti-everything... and since the crew is multi-tasking anyway, why not throw some firefly episodes in there with another movie or two???

Grr on Fox?! Will I be able to watch it??
Every show I watch on FOX gets cancelled. But Joss, Tim and Eliza. I guess I can download it or stream and not jinx it.
Whee Hee Joss back on TV.
Next plan, post cards to Fox to renew Firefly after we make this show a resound success.
Or Serenity mini series on Scifi.

Great news. I hope the network stands behind this one. Wonderfalls, Firefly and Drive were all really good shows that ended far too quick.

Yay!!
Best news in a long time!
We're going to have Tim in 2 shows. Great!!!!!!

Whedon+Minear+Dushku=HELL YEAH!

BUT WHY FOX???? After Fox screwed over both Firefly AND Drive, why would he go back? Does Joss like the abuse? I have no clue why he would put himself through this again...

Tim:
This is fantastic news. I've been waiting to hear that you and Joss have re-teamed ever since Firefly went off the air. This looks like an idea with endless potential, and I look forward to seeing what you guys do with it.

Oh, and your crack about the writers picketing with blank signs? Hilarious. I am stealing it.

Congratulations again!

It's not like you get to choose what company picks up your show. Eliza already had a contract with Fox, so she wouldn't have been able to do it elsewhere.

When a production company picks up your show, you say "thanks, let's get to work". You don't say "okay well see you were assholes to me a few years ago so I'm going to take my show elsewhere".

Joss and Tim know all about Fox, I'm quite sure. But what are they going to do: not make their show at all, just so they don't have to work with Fox?

Joss has been quoted as saying that Fox is now NEW
people, as if he has faith(no pun) in those guys(?).
In a year's time, we should have a clearer picture.
Just the idea takes me out of depression into mania.
But (expecting Fox) to BLOW it would re-depress me.
I guess I can blame Hollywood for being Bipolar.
Meanwhile Joss, Tim & Eliza can be my Lithium.

I'm soooo hoping the FOX curse ends here. Fingers and thumbs all crossed...

Tim, break a leg! Burst an appendix, even!

(And FOX: Screw this one up and the writer's strike is gonna look like a tea party...)
