Letter from Caroline Dhavernas to the Wonderfalls fans

Posted on March 31, 2004 | Comments (77)

I truly appreciate your incredible support and wonderful words. Your comments made me laugh and gave me the strength to keep faith myself!

March 30, 2004

Dear Wonderfalls fans,

This past year, the lives of the Wonderfalls producers, writers, cast and crew have been dedicated to the making of this series. The truth is, the energy and the long hours we put into this were all worth it: I am so proud of this show.

As you know, we inherited a very tricky time slot that doesn't give us much of a chance to be noticed by a large crowd. However, our faithful viewers seem to be in love, like I am, with Wonderfalls, and understand how witty, different, intelligent, fun and absurd the lives of these characters are, thanks to our brilliant writers.

The reviews have been truly amazing, quite frankly unlike anything I have seen before, but when I learned the ratings weren't so great, I logged on to the website to hear what the fans had to say. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I truly appreciate your incredible support and wonderful words. Your comments made me laugh and gave me the strength to keep faith myself!

Well, hallelujah! What do you know, I guess our prayers were answered! Thursday nights it is! Now, I know it's Ladies Night in many bars, at least in Montreal, my hometown, but LADIES! Be fashionably late!!! And don't hesitate to use the now famous pick-up line from the pilot: " your ass is ringing"...

All my love,
Caroline Dhavernas xxx

At last, as I give my comment (Mar 23) on the show and wish that wonderfalls become back to back with tru calling on Thursday night, it came to life, hope that both shows last, and hope a DVD series will come out soon. More power to the producers, writers, cast and crew who put up lots of effort to make wonderfalls come to life.

More power

You're quite welcome.

And if the show befalls a terrible fate, rest assured I'll be pre-ordering the DVDs.

On the DVDs will be a photograph of the wax lion, who will say, "Save the show." After which I will be transported back in time to make sure the show makes it to a second season.

...Don't parse the comment.

Thank you, Caroline for taking the time to type this joint up.

I've been a supporter from the begining, that's why almost every day I'd yell to random people to watch the show. Which, I will be doing tomorrow at school.

Posted by: Kay at March 31, 2004 08:43 PM

You've got a lovely show there, and it's too bad your network's not likely to give it a fighting chance. It's also too bad that the public doesn't seem to appreciate a good thing before it's too late. Years from now you may just end up getting the respect you deserve. All the best.

Posted by: healing fish at March 31, 2004 11:09 PM

i hope it has second season, 13 episodes isnt enough. if it gets cancelled now, they will air the rest of the episodes during the summer..

Posted by: eric at March 31, 2004 11:31 PM

Aww. It's so sad that a quality show like Wonderfalls, with fantastic characters, smart, witty writing and talented actors isn't allowed any chance while crap like American Idol goes oooon and oooon and ooooon.....you did a great job, Caroline, we won't forget Wonderfalls!

Posted by: Josh at April 1, 2004 05:35 AM

I've told everyone I can to watch and practically begged a tv columnist (dignity? who needs that?) to watch also. I'm sorry that the Nielsen system is so freaking messed up and that people don't appreciate exceptional quality television over stupid and trite garbage like reality shows. I can say, however, that Fox (or as it's known to some fans, "Fux") is NOT the network for a show like Wonderfalls. If the unthinkable happens, I really think you all should look toward selling the show to a much more forgiving network like the WB which nurtures quality programming despite what ratings say. This is a good time for the WB to take new dramas, what w/the Angel cancellation and practically every other WB drama being so aged quality-wise. Either that or you ask Bravo to take them and they can air it alongside the also brilliant but tragically cut short (by Fox) show, Keen Eddie.

I know we all want "Wonderfalls" to succeed. But in case the worst happens you have to talk to FX network. They own by the same company as FOX, but FX is willing to scarifies some ratings for critically acclaimed television. They have best cop-show "Shield" and best adult drama "Nip/Tuck". Now they could have the best comedy. Please, please talk to FX beforehand.

Also Tim must consider subsidized model. If one Million fans can donate reasonable amount of cash, show can be sold to network like PAX or some other basic cable network. If fans can pay most expenses of the show, cable network can recoup the rest of the money from advertisement. Even with lower rates. I wanted to tell this idea to Tim Minear for a while.

Posted by: Boris at April 1, 2004 04:07 PM

I adore this show. To the point that I cancelled plans last friday so that I could watch it. To the extent that all day today while working at my own personal hellish retail job I was excited and somehow bolstered by the knowledge that at 9pm I would get to spend a whole hour in Wonderfalls--such a magical, surreal, absurd, hilarious, oddly familiar, and most importantly, inspiring world. I wish I had a neilson box because the prospect of Wonderfalls being cancelled fills me with true dread. This show makes my week, and that is saying a lot!

Posted by: siri at April 1, 2004 08:13 PM

No thank you Caroline, Tim and the rest of the cast and crew that have made Wonderfalls. It is a show that is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise barren wasteland of reality programming!

I prayed to God for a show like this on broadcast television and there you were. Dead Like Me and now Wonderfalls are basically the only things I watch anymore.

We have our own board (which was the very first unofficial forum to spread the word of Wonderfalls) and am glad for all your success and the finding of a permanent timeslot.

Keep up the fine work Caroline and thanks for reaching out to us, your fans. We will be supporting you guys for many years to come. The ratings will come, I am sure of it!

Bravo FOX for the move and Caroline, thanks again.

This show is an amazing work of art. I want to thank the cast and crew for making such a wonderful hour of television. Something that is as fresh and funny as this show deserves a chance. Especially in the day and age of reality tv. Thank You!

Posted by: Lisa at April 3, 2004 11:51 AM

Thank you for all your work... You, and all involved are amazing for creating and daring in a business where creativity is daring, in of itself. THANK YOU.

Posted by: Luna at April 3, 2004 08:53 PM

I am so sorry that Wonderfalls got cancelled. It was the best new show on television. I guess that is typical of Fox, conservative rights news wise, smutty crap entertainment wise. I am in the Navy and work 12 hour shifts, so I had my husband tape two of the episodes while I was at work. We are both huge fans of Wonderfalls and now you, Caroline. I am sure another network will pick you up quickly. Then I'd have to get cable but it would be -well- worth it. Intelligent, witty shows are hard to come by these days.

Do you want a hug? I have a hug. It is here. *hug*

*begins chanting, "D-V-Ds! D-V-Ds!"*

Posted by: Polter-Cow at April 4, 2004 10:07 AM

It may be laughable to some (and I'll just avoid those people in the future :-)), but when a work of fiction, in this case a television program of true creative joy, infuses your life and introduces you to characters with whom you develop a kinship of spirit, it hurts, oh, geez, it hurts to lose them.

I feel as if I've woken up and found part of my family missing. (Okay, I have a family, and they're wonderful, but the feeling is still the same.) I feel this way after only getting to know this show through 4 episodes. 4 episodes! What am I saying? After the pilot episode, I knew without a doubt I'd lost my heart to Wonderfalls. Not because it distracted me from any humdrum life, but because it added dimension to my sense of wonder and faith in storytelling and satisfied my desire for characters with depth and humor.

Caroline, you and your fellow cast members--Katie, Lee, William, Tyron, Lee, Tracie, and Diana--gave us viewers something that was all sorts of beautiful. Thank you for infecting us with an affection for a world that sparkled with light. Please do not underestimate what you and the rest of the cast and all of the crew did--you made people smile and allow themselves to be engaged by something spilling over with talent and imagination. That is, dare I say it, an honest-to-goodness miracle in its own right. Please accept my heartiest thanks and virtual hug for your exquisitely crafted portrayal of a girl who stumbles into involvement and engagement, despite herself, and can't hide her bemused pleasure at seeing things go awry, but then click and unfold.

"Low blood sugar. Had a Snickers. All better now. Thanks for coming." We don't want to leave. We want your 'sodes to continue. *sigh* Good luck to you and your fellow cast members--you all deserve to find creatively (and professionally) prosperous parts. You have my warmest regards.

Oh, I love this series ever so much! It's incredibly funny (in a subtle manner) and it sparks my imagination. Caroline acts wonderfully and the inanimate animals make me laugh. It kind of makes me wish I was an inanimate object. I'd drive people mad with all the singing I would do.

P.S: Caroline, vous sont très attractive, hehehehe. Je pense que Wonderfalls est fantastique!

Plus tard!

I forgot to mention in my post above that I truly love the line "I'm fate's bitch now." Simply wonderful. X)

Posted by: Digital Love Bunny at April 4, 2004 10:22 AM

I just read that the show is cancelled- my family and I are devastated. Finally- intelligent TV! With so many shows on now that are geared towards people with short attention spans and lower IQ's (reality shows), Wonderfalls was like a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately, FOX failed in marketing Wonderfalls, and the move to Thursday was not well publicized. Our local TV Guide still listed it as appearing on Friday. I hope the show continues on another network, like USA which picked up Monk when it was cancelled. Great job, and best of luck.

Posted by: Val at April 4, 2004 02:38 PM

Caroline, you're awesome!

I hope we either save Wonderfalls or see you elsewhere very soon!

Tom :)

One of the funniest and clever shows in a long time! What a major disappointment! Why don't you try and get it onto a different network: one that doesn't "ratings" watch?

Posted by: Alexis at April 5, 2004 11:48 AM

I will definitely be looking forward to the dvd. This is my favorite show that has aired on tv, ever! All my friends and family loved it. Its too bad a show has to make so fast. I spread the word and now everyone has seen one show and it's already canceled. Friends would never have happened on todays tv lineups.

Posted by: Leah at April 5, 2004 01:01 PM

So upset the show is cancelled but I wanted to
thank you and everyone attached to the creative
side of Wonderfalls. Thanks ever so much. With
the few episodes out there you've already
managed to identify with an audience and actually
made me think about certain things.

Thank you.

Thank you for the letter and for Jaye. Thank you for a wonderful four nights I'll never forget!

Posted by: Jamie at April 5, 2004 02:38 PM

Is it possible that the show gets picked up by another network or cable channel?

Posted by: at April 5, 2004 04:04 PM

Thank you for stopping by. I was so disappointed to learn the show was cancelled. I just don't get network TV cancelling some of the best TV shows without giving them a chance. This ranks up there with My So-Called Life.

I hope you are able to find another venue to show the rest of the episodes and soon! I'm addicted and won't know what to do with myself!!

Posted by: Jennifer at April 5, 2004 05:57 PM

I am one of the viewers who ranted and screamed when i found out this morning that Wonderfalls (my new favorite show, on par with ALIAS) was cancelled.

I am truly sorry that such a wonderful breath of fresh air was cancelled so soon... and even sorry for myself that I wasn't able to witness Jaye and Eric finally getting together (I watched the music video on the web site enough times to psyche myself out too).

Here's all my hope and crossed fingers that somehow these lost episodes will be revealed to the public, be it through DVD or another network... or maybe even an underground distribution (just kidding...[?])

Also, I would like to proclaim my absolute disgust that reruns of a reality show centered on giving ugly women plastic surgery and throwing them into a beauty contest will be aired in Wonderfall's stead. I related with the character of Jaye so thoroughly and the news of this is almost enough to want to throw my tv out the window.

Being a junior in highschool, my friends and I were the ones jumping and talking about what had happened on Wonderfalls the night before. Quotes from it are still on my AIM profile, and I even taped all the episodes that aired (which isn't saying much) and so I wanted to thank you for your note, and for being such a wonderful part of a fantastic show, even if it only for a short while.

Posted by: Olivia at April 5, 2004 08:31 PM

its not fair. Dumb make over shows are all over the air waves and they cant even keep a wonderfull show like wonderfalls on. i am a 24 year old girl who graduated from college and have nothing going on in a good way too. i want my show backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. what we do? shouls we start a letter writign thing?

Posted by: Fayza at April 6, 2004 09:20 AM

the cancellation really shreds my cheese. i LOVED this show and now it's gone. there is nothing on the air but craptastic "reality" shows and nothing original. i hope it makes it back on the air somehow, someway. it was nice to see recognizable places in ontario. (union station couldn't be mistaken for anything else and i'm pretty sure i saw windsor on the destination board)

it was also pretty neat to see a character named 'jaye'. that's my middle name and i've only heard it one other place before (that guy from the crying game).

Posted by: kelly at April 6, 2004 10:54 AM

Can't believe they cancelled this show. I have stopped watching TV since all this reality crap came out. Then finally a really funny and cool show came out. My whole family, even my elderly parents , my friends and everyone else I told about this show got hooked from watching one episode. I am actually going to Niagara Falls just to see if some of the sets are real. Hope they can sell it to another channel. I think even Sci fi would be interested or WB or UPN or anything as long as it stays on.
I'll even subscribe to premium HBO or Showtime if this show moves there. If not, then my TV is off again.

Posted by: CHRIS at April 6, 2004 11:27 AM

Just sad. The only other show I watched and loved early in the going was " Freaks and Geeks " and of course they had the same fate. The move to Thursdays was a nail in the coffin...up against the established big boys. Let's all pray for a revival elsewhere as the unseen shows are in the can and maybe without production costs someone will give it a shot. At least now we can spend our extra time watching the beauty pageant of women who have had facelifts, on NBC.

If there wasn't so much REALLY bad crap it wouldn't hurt so much, but it does. I loved Wonderfalls.

Posted by: Rick at April 6, 2004 02:42 PM

I'm sick! I just heard that Wonderfalls was cancelled and I feel powerless to do anything about it! It is the greatest show I've seen in many years and all I do is watch television!
I would love to petititon the network or start a letter writing campaign or march on FOX or at least promise to buy all the already produced episodes if they were on DVD.

By the way, if anyone reading this has the first couple three episodes on tape I'd love to see them again and would pay generously for a dub.

Regardless, I love you Caroline and hope to see you on-the-air again real soon. Hopefully, because Wonderfalls has been picked-up by another network.

Congratulations on a wonderful television show.

Posted by: alex at April 6, 2004 03:10 PM

This was a great series and you are an incredible actress(with the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen) I hope I will be able to see them some more in the future(preferably on the rest of the Wonderfalls episodes -- but I will take what I can get. Congrats on working on such an amazing series.

Posted by: Christian at April 6, 2004 08:30 PM

Caroline, Tim, et al.

Thank you for the most exciting and delightful program on TV in longer than I can remember. It's a shame that true art like the second episode, especially, no longer has a place on broadcast TV -- and, probably, pay cable, which seems to demand sex or violence. This has been a sad year for TV, with the superb "Boomtown" and "Angel" (and the always fun "Jake 2.0") leaving. Finding "Wonderfalls" was the greatest joy of the year. I'll watch any network that shows the remaining episodes, and I'll buy the DVDs. "Wonderfalls" will not be forgotten!

Wonderfalls was a wonder I fell in love with the show and i just cant belive that Fox did this.I was looking forword to watching the show tonight. Im glad I finlly luck up Wonderfalls becouse I hade no idea it got cancled untill now,and that sucks bad. Now im never going to see Wonderfalls becouse I dont have cable. If u ask me Fox is the poor bitch now, becouse they have taken something wonderfull off the air. I really hope Wonderfalls gets on upn like he wants and even the wb becouse it is a great show and it belongs on tv. So i wish you guys find a new home and it last for many years to come good luck.

You and your castmates, writers, producers, directors & crew did a really wonderful job. It will be criminal if someone doesn't figure out a way to release all the episodes that were shot and not aired.
Great, great show. It cracked me up every week.
You're a terrific actress and I'm sure you'll have a successful career. But I'm going to miss Jaye and her unique dilemma.

Posted by: John Averill at April 8, 2004 06:14 PM

I actually shed a tear today. I have been looking forward to Wonderfalls all week.

It is such a quality show, and so addictive! I would find myself just salivating for more at the end of each show.

And Jaye is just the coolest girl in the world. Thanks mostly to you, Caroline. She is someone I wanted to hang out with and really felt like I connected with (as I'm sure most mid-20 gals did, which means y'all did a good job).

I hope you find a creative and rewarding outlet for your talent (perhaps on another station, continuing the show??).

I will look forward to DVDs and I will subscribe to premium channels to see this show again. It was such a bright spot in the lackluster world that is television today.

Thank you so much!

Posted by: Kelli Lambert at April 8, 2004 08:09 PM

You are a fantastic actress...I love you (lol)!! I really hope to see more of you soon. :)

With that being said, "Wonderfalls" was remarkably brilliant...pure genius. Each episode was better than its predecessor. I fell in love with it--I even got some of my friends to watch it--and it's such a shame that FOX pulled the plug after only four episodes *tear*. It had so much quality and potential, filled with uniqueness, imagination, and wittiness--I'll miss the kick-ass one-liners. The cast is oh-so talented, and the writers, producers, and everyone involved are superb.

I really hope that another network picks this show up. Till then, I sincerely wish you guys the best of luck. And I'll sure as hell buy the DVDs of "Wonderfalls".

"My father got ran over."
"Aw, I'm sure you didn't mean to."

"Wax Lion" drew me in - Fox spit me out!

Wonderfalls must surface somewhere, somehow.

in 4 episodes, you have touched me more than many actors do in their whole career...

you have a bright future...

good luck

Posted by: mike at April 9, 2004 06:23 PM

I must also voice my support for such a unique, wonderful show. I was floored when I realized that it was cancelled already. Really, could FOX have put the show in a worst time slot for it's target audience? Please get the episodes to DVD, please!!! I'm just itching to see them.

Posted by: Lisa at April 9, 2004 08:11 PM

Now that Wonderfalls is cancelled and Caroline gone, I can no longer have sex with my television set.

Jim Jim, sweethart,
I think you just discovered a new pr0n classification category. By the way, try to explore the other ones. You might find some relief there.

You're an excellent actress and need to be in another show soon.

Posted by: Caroline Dhavernas admirer at April 10, 2004 01:32 PM

I had the same favorite show for five years and after the first episode of Wonderfalls it was quickly replaced. Jaye is a character that I think everyone could have related to at one point in their lives unlike so many of these "characters" on reality tv shows. Caroline, you are so talented as are all of your castmates and you deserve better than Fox. Maybe we should contact Oprah and see if she can help us get Wonderfalls back--she pulls a lot of the strings over at her production company ;)

Posted by: Amber at April 11, 2004 12:19 PM

Tim Minear, Caroline Dhavernas, et al: Thank you for your terrific work on "Wonderfalls"! I pray that you won't give up on your efforts to revive this remarkable series on another network, because it certainly deserves much more exposure and attention from the TV audience than it could have possibly received in 4 short episodes.

As a fan of "Buffy" and "Angel" and of all of the wonderful qualities of intelligent television that these two series possessed, I had high hopes for "Wonderfalls" when I first saw the promo clips at the start of this year; after watching four episodes, I will not hesitate to say that "Wonderfalls" did not disappoint. The series caught my full attention from the pilot episode, and I quickly fell in love with its fast, sharply clever dialogue and the terrifically charismatic performances of each and every member of the cast. I loved following wayward Jaye in her hapless (but surprisingly heartwarming) interactions with the talking animals and her family and friends. But please, don't leave us hanging with Jaye still largely estranged from her family, her relationship with Eric left at "bartender meets bar habitué", and the last words we hear from the talking animals as "Destroy Gretchen!" from the Booster Rooster...! C'mon, we all deserve better than that. ;)

My best wishes on your efforts to find a new home for "Wonderfalls". And whatever happens, I look forward to seeing more of you guys (as part of "Wonderfalls" or not) on TV and film.

Posted by: Teresa at April 11, 2004 01:46 PM

This is a passionate bunch of people, I thought I had to be the only one that cared this much.

This isn't something new on the thread, but I can attest to all the "my new favorite show comments".

Caroline Dhavernas, I praised your performance in the Edge of Madness and was thrilled about Wonderfalls.

I hope Wonderfalls finds a new home, it's already got a large following.

I'm affraid I'll just be babling from now on, or maybe I have been. So with everything everyone's said above, best wishes, the show was amazing, I'll pay attention.

Posted by: Courtney Waldon at April 11, 2004 04:30 PM

This is another Wonderfalls fan (23 year old male, so not the target audience according to FOX) who can say that Wonderfalls is one of the tightest shows of its kind on the air at the moment and one of the best shows (in my humble opinion) of this season. FOX never seems to maintain a time slot for a show to gain an audience, so they have lost this viewer until they open their eyes. While I enjoyed all of the aspects of the show, I can say that Ms. Dhavernas brought the show to life for me an hope to see her in more projects soon.

Posted by: Jarrod at April 11, 2004 08:30 PM

I really want this show to get picked up by the WB or UPN. It is a really funny comedy. I'm a fan of 'Dead like Me' as well and at first, when I saw the style of 'Wonderfall's', I thought 'Dead like Me' rip off! But I couldn't have been more wrong. Although, it was created by a lot of the same people as 'Dead like Me', it is a show of it's own. I'm a big fan of all the characters on the show so far. My favourite two are Jaye and her sister. Please bring this show back.

Posted by: Michelle Love at April 12, 2004 09:42 AM

It's fundamentally depressing that fox cancelled Wonderfalls. I will be first in line to pick up the DVD set if/when it is released.

Posted by: Mark Towns at April 12, 2004 11:46 AM

I don't have much to say that I haven't already read in these posts, but I do want to say that I can relate to Jaye more than any other charachter I've ever seen and I'm a 36 year old man! Hopefully other networks are reading these reactions and will pick the show up. It's rediculous that this good of a show is only on the air four times. Nice move, Fox. By the way, "Cracking up" has yet to make me even crack a smile. How do you make Jack Black unfunny?

Posted by: Chris at April 12, 2004 03:21 PM

The X-files which put fox on the map would not survive todays network. Wonderfalls is a gift from the gods to whomever gives it a chance. Every network is desperate for content whoever decided to cancel this is not only throwing away a fortune but a program of quality. To those who gave it the green light many thanks to the rest go have a drink witht the genius that passed on Starwars.

Posted by: michael at April 13, 2004 04:10 PM

Tu es formidable, Caroline and yes, I fell totally in love with WONDERFALLS. From the bottom of my heart (deep in Québec City) I wish that a network that understands and GETS it picks up this fabulous show.

Posted by: Micheline Harvey at April 14, 2004 10:23 AM

I hope to see you and Wonderfalls on TV again soon. But if that doesn't happen, I'm reminded of Claire Danes in My So-Called Life and Linda Cardellini in Freaks and Geeks (both shows cancelled before their time), the lead actresses continued to bigger success.

But I sure hope to see more Wonderfalls.

Posted by: Sean Knight at April 14, 2004 11:10 AM

I knew something was wrong when my replay tv failed to record the show. Please, You must try to get this back on Fox or any other network. This show is amazing. This show has the best writing. How could someone (FOX) judge this with only 4 episodes to date? who is the A** H*** who pulled the plug?

Posted by: Don Youngner at April 14, 2004 05:20 PM

Thanks for the wonderful memories, Caroline. I will miss your wonderful smile, brilliant blue eyes, and witty banter scripted for your character and the others of this show. Jaye will sorely be missed, that is, unless they come to their senses at Fox or another network picks it up (which I do wish for).

I'm sure we'll be seeing more of you in the future. You and the others have a great talent and deserve the accolades.

Beware the Ides of reality TV.

Posted by: richard at April 16, 2004 09:50 AM

I was so happy to find all of my "Out Cold" buds on primetime! First A.J. and Zack on "Tru Calling" and then finally (what happened to Caroline) got her own GREAT show, "Wonderfalls." In the tradition of "Parker Lewis," "Rushmore," and "Election," "Wonderfalls" was witty and ingenious!

Like the previously cancelled "Keen Eddie," obviously, Wonderfalls is too wiity and smart for most Friday night (too young to go out) television watchers. These dumbass sitcoms with sex and fart jokes reel them in by the millions. What a dumb timeslot! And then it is hard for ANY show to go up against "CSI," which has been #1 for 4 years. I don't know whose idea it was to try it it that one night. WEDNESDAY NIGHT AFTER "WB's" "SMALLVILLE," is the perfect time to try. It's a shame. We are forced to listen to crap on the radio whether the right people like it or not. Why not TV. Screw what the "Nielson" people think. Those dinks cancel the best shows, while the simpletons hang around for years.

WE have a HUGE petition over at http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/wonderfalls to save this show. Coming up on 18000 sigs, it was literally counting as I refreshed the page. Good luck to you and if we can't save your show I hope to see you soon on other great projects. You're gorgeous, talented and worthy of attention. As is everyone involved with "Wonderfalls." Well, everything but the gorgeous. That's Caroline's job! GOD! What eyes! GOOD LUCK!

We cannot give up on Wonderfalls!! I am writting to Jordan Levin, CEO of Warner Bros. Network to ask him to pick up this incredible series. It would be better off on the WB anyway. His address is 4000 Warner Blvd. Bldg. 34R Burbank, CA 91522..everyone write to him or call 818-977-5000 to let the WB know we want them to pick up Wonderfalls!!!
Rock on fans and do not give up even if the wax lion sings!!!

I’m disgusted something fierce with the cancellation. But man, I’m fightin’. I’m going down with the ship. Look what 3 episodes can do to a person. Can’t let this one go!

I recently returned from a pleasant vacation, only to discover that my new favorite show has been cancelled! I am so disappointed. It is not often that I make a point of turning on my tv to actually pay attention to a show and not just have some background noise, especially since the only channels I pick up with my antenna are ruled by "reality" television. But after spending the day with a babbling 7 month old and having very little, if any, contact with intelligent, English speaking lifeforms, Wonderfalls was a joy to have. I was hooked from the beginning. I actually sat and watched all four episodes that aired. I even laughed out loud many times. It saddens me to think that even if this show is picked up by another network, I will probably never get to see it again, because as mentioned above, I only pick up ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and FOX with my antenna. I am praying for a swift release of the thirteen episodes to DVD so that I can convince someone to get them for me as a birthday gift. Once again, I am very disapointed. But alas, I must cut this rant short as it is time to feed my son some pureed peas.

The cancelling of this show is an unignorable symptom of the greater injustices being comitted by those in power.

Eliminating intelligence when are where ever it is found seems to be working for those in control as a form of mental opression, and the media is a perfect incubator for this disabaling virus of the mind.

So of course a show about someone who acts like they are hallucinating on LSD and helping out random strangers all the time won't really fly with the execs. You wouldn't want to promote free-form spirituality and an atmosphere of sharing, that would really clash with the christian capitalist party line.

The creepiest thing about what happened is the way the show vanished like the CIA decided it had to be zilched or something. The way it's not just gone but it's almost like it never even happened.

Well I just won't stand for it. I know there are 13 episodes out there, and if I died without ever getting to see them all in completion, I would be a deeply disturbed spirit and I would come back as a vicious poltergeist and make life a living hell for those evil FOX executrolls.

It sounds silly to get that upset over TV, I know. But it's not, because this is part of a bigger violation of our rights as human beings to share the best of ourselves with eachother, through creativity and love.

I know I'm not alone in my literal nausea at the sudden jolt and ensuing vertigo of realizing that an amazing new show has just been replaced with re-runs of 'The Swan'.

I feel like I'm trapped in the middle of a Felching-69-Sandwich between the Government and Big Media that I never asked to be in, and I want out. What I mean is, the powerlessness I feel is almost claustrophobic.

My brightest hope for release lies in the temporary escape that those 13 beautiful episodes on DVD would provide. Please, let it happen.

I love you Caroline, you're so cute *blushes* if you have a chance to read this, maybe if you have the time. I was so upset to see my favorite new show, Wonderfalls cancelled on Fox right after my other favorite show Tru Calling. I was so looking forward to see the Cow Creamer episode that night, but never got too. How sad...I have watched Wonderfalls since the 1st episode and I loved it. Hope the show gets a new home, like Sci-Fi or FX to see the 9 remaining episodes or be put on DVD soon...

One other thing Caroline...will you marry me? lol

As one of Hollywood's career oriented but (lately) perennially unemployed wannabees, I felt compelled to add my voice to the growing chorus that discovered this TV show and was hooked just by watching the teaser.

"Wonderfalls" deserves better.

I know it's a long shot but hopefully the WB can give it a good home. If not, there is the DVD angle which gave new life to "Firefly," if I'm not mistaken.

I salute the cast and crew of "Wonderfalls."

The wax lion just told me: "See a dime; pick it up." Think he's trying to tell me something?

You know, there hasnt been a show on TV, that i have actually made it a point to be home to watch since "Married with Children" and "Cheers".
Never cared for "sienfield" much during its primetime run, but now enjoy it in sindication.

So to make my point, I have not made "plans" to watch a tv show in the past 10 years, Till Wonderfalls. I caught all 4, everyone i have asked about it has said they enjoyed it too, and watched it, So i dont know where the heck these Neilson boxes are to get ratings, but they need a new system. With cable and satalite techonlogy it should be ever easy to compile exactly what every channel is on at anytime.

And im not too puter literate. And do not take the time to voice my opion very often. I have said my piece, and will most likely not persue this farther. But any of you are welcome to reprint my post at any other sites you wish.

Well, looks like I'm one of the first posts here in may. I can remember seeing promos on TV for "Wonderfalls"... I remember thinking... "Wow that looks like it might be cool!" Unfortunately because of work and getting caught up in other daily routines, I never got to see an episode aired. However... a while back I was browsing a webpage (which will go nameless) where I sometimes download TV episodes.. and discovered they had episodes of Wonderfalls. I figured I'd give them a try. I downloaded all 4 episodes and fell in love. To my HORROR I descovered after watchin them the show was cancelled. Here I was, all excited about an incredible new show and falling in love with Jaye.. and its gone... I have since put the episodes onto DVD and watch them over and over. I even have aquired 2 unaired episodes... 6 and 7. Incredible shows most people will never see. And now... with nothing else.. I sit and wait and pray. I pray that some day God will again grace the world with new (or at least unaired) episodes of this Incredible Show! If they get released on DVD... I'll buy them, right after I have an incredible orgasm.

Tim, Caroline, and all those who've brought us "Wonderfalls":
Like so many thousands of others, my goal in life is to make a living on film. Lately, however, I've looked at the majority of shlock on the big screen and recycled tripe on television (the few timeslots left not polluted by reality tv, which is even worse than the rest) and I've lost a good bit of faith in the art of film. Shows like "Wonderfalls", the now-cancelled "Angel", or gems like "Undeclared" and "Sports Night" are unjustly cut short so "Hope and Faith" can go on undisturbed. I've been campaigning for the "Wonderfalls" dvd since the moment I learned of the cancellation. Rarely is a show this consistently smart and funny. You can feel the love and pride that the cast and crew have put into every episode. I've rambled too long, so in summation, thank you. Caroline, you're beautiful, and incredibly talented. Tyson Leito is my hero. And there aren't many as good as Tim Minear working on tv right now. To quote the monkey, "I love you."

Here we all are in June and still no DVD has been made available. It's not that often that NPR reviewers don't get it when something wonderful comes along. I believe a reviewer on NPR condemned WF because the main character was sour, negative, mean, or somehow just unlikeable. Well, the reviewer missed the point. What the reviewer described was supposed to be part of the basic premise of the programme. Watching it, I could never guess how she would be thwarted, bewildered, and ultimately ever so slowly improved. And I never knew what cool plot twist would come next. I can see why Fox (barf!!!) screwed the whole thing up, but I cannot understand why no other network has yet snapped it up. What are they all thinking? I have not yet seen "The New Drew Carey Show", but "Drew Carey" had been cancelled, and now has another chance. Isn't there any network executive with the clout to bring WF back, and the intelligence to put it into a good time slot? It would kill, if it was given the chance. My fingers are still crossed. Many thankyous and Bonne Chance to the Wonderfalls company and to us all.

I´m from Venezuela, and i´m joining the huge wave of people that want more from Wonderfalls, it is really really weird the way it gets you, i found it funny , and intelligent, and artistic but while you look at it, it is casting like a spell on you, i really want to see more, i want to see another season, i want more of the caroline magic talent, i dont really have words to explain the effect that one hour of charming irony from this blue-eyed genious cause on me, and other millions. but, if you see it from other perspective, you´ll find out that people see just what they CAN see, you can´t ask that people on FOX to see the magic , cause they can´t, that´s how the world goes on. while i´m writing this i´m looking to the fourth chapter , the one of the "get your ass off" pink flamingos, and i find on the show relax, peace , laugh, y forget about problems , and I DON´T SEE MUCH T.V. that said a lot. you know, i have a litle plastic turtle in my desk and it said " ask for 2 more seasons !", i hope that you feel better after reading my words caroline, you know, let the sun turn off to let your dreams shine, look inside of you, and don´t give up !, we want more wanderfalls !"
